Retrieved Carefusion Alaris Medley Module The PCU 8015 point of care unit is the core of the Alaris system, which provides a common user interface for programming the infusion and monitoring modules, helping to reduce complexity at the point of care. This central “brain” allows the connection of other modules, including LVP (Infusion Set), SPO2, NIBP, ETCO2, Syringe and PCA.

The Alaris System is a modular system designed to care for adults, pediatrics and neonates in the current growing professional health environment. It consists of the PC Unit, the Guardrails Suite MX, and up to 4 removable infusion and / or monitoring modules (channels). The Auto-ID module can be included as a fifth module.

The Alaris system supported by this DFU uses a next-generation PC unit (model 8015) that provides wireless connectivity directly from the box and an enhanced screen (including color) to clearly communicate critical programming, infusion, monitoring and defined policy information through the hospital. Alaris System wireless communication makes it easier than ever to increase the safety of intravenous drugs and continually improve clinical best practices, regardless of the existing wireless infrastructure.
