Alaris CareFusion Cardinal BD 8100 Infusion pump module

The Alaris® Pump module is designed for the supply of fluids, medicines, blood and blood products through continuous or intermittent administration for adult, pediatric or neonatal patients. Administration of the infusion can occur through clinically acceptable routes of administration (e.g., intravenous, intraarterial, subcutaneous, epidural, enteral, or fluid space irrigation).

Clinicians can connect up to four pump modules to a single Point of Care (PC) unit that allows four different infusions. The pump modules can be connected to either side of the PC unit to create the desired configuration.

The Alaris Pump module supports the Guardrails® Suite MX software. This software helps reduce the risk of medication errors by providing a reasonableness test before the start of therapy.
